 | Moved again, to Stamford in Lincolnshire, where I have now lived for 20
years |
 | Now have two grandchildren a boy and a girl, Richard and Amy. |
 | Retired slightly early at the age of 63. |
 | I now look after my grandchildren and continue with my painting. |

I have always been interested in art, even in my early school days. I
always scored high marks in art. I took an exam for a place in art school,
there was only one 'free', place available, unfortunately I was not successful
and unable to afford to pay to attend. I continued with my art classes
until I finished school.
Work and the National Service took me away from my interest and hobby. I took
up painting again in the 1980's for a short spell. I painted with oils and
my main subject at the time was 'Birds of Prey' and abstract art .
Like most people find, there is very little time during their working life to
fit in a full-time hobby. Now that I have retired, I am able to continue.
I now work with Pastels and Oil Pastels, which I find very versatile to
use. I can complete a painting in one day. Many of my paintings are
'Impression' style paintings, of local and holiday scenes.
I have studied Vincent Van Gogh, Cézanne, Pisarro and
Claude Monet.
I have built up quite a large portfolio, with over 100 paintings.
Please do have a look at some of my work included on
this web site.
